We created Fling to make fashion rentals as easy and accessible as possible. No more risking a dress that doesn’t fit from an online rental order, or the fees and shipping costs that come with it.

We understand that normal and appropriate wear and tear can be expected of rental items. In the case of any damages to an item upon return that can be repaired, such as seam tears, zips etc, renters will be charged for repair fees upon return of the item.

Maintenance and cleaning

Our renters are liable for their rental items from collection to return. We ask that our renters care for the pieces like they are their own, and return them in the condition they collected them.

However, renters are not to clean items under any condition - we use an approved dry cleaner to take care of item cleaning once returned.

If there’s a stain on your item please don’t worry - we appreciate that things happen and would much rather you just let us know, we won’t be mad! Most stains can be taken care of, but should there be an extra cleaning cost we can come back to you at that time.

Renters are not to iron any items, however they may use a steamer on their rented garments.

Loss, theft or damage beyond repair

In the case that a rental item is lost or stolen for the renter, they are liable to pay for the current value of that item (taking into consideration the brand, piece, comparable reselling values etc.).

Should the renter return an item that is damaged beyond repair or is in a state that renders the item no longer rentable, wearable or desireable, they are liable to pay for the current value of the item.

We’re so grateful to our renters for respecting the terms of their rentals and the garments they take out with us.

Our rental stock comes from local Lenders, who rent out their pieces through us, for a commission. As a renter, your care for the garments allows us to continue renting fashion accessibly, and keep our Lenders happy at the same time.
